Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Commodity: TRIMS
• Knowledge of Seating System parts & Soft Trims- Seat manufacturing process like Frame manufacturing & assembly (stamping/tube bending, welding etc), Trim cover manufacturing (Fabric/leather materials, sewing), Foam moulding, Seat assembly (recliner & slider installation, track assembly, Torquing) & Seat Craftsmanship evaluation and EOL testing.
• Knowledge of Seat ventilation/ heating system,
• Knowledge of Airbags (DAB/PAB/SAB), Deployment assessment & cable/wiring layouts.
• knowledge of Seat Belt Functionality & Retractor Mechanisms, Buckle and Anchorage Systems.
• Knowledge of soft trim manufacturing processes like Thermoforming / Compression Molding, Fabric Lamination & Wrapping, Adhesive Bonding Processes, Cutting and Trimming Operations.
• Supplier Performance monitoring, evaluation & drive performance improvement through systemic approach.
• Monitor & improve non-performing suppliers and organize periodic Quality reviews as per escalation matrix.
• Supplier dealings, communications & regular interactions for continual improvements & process upgradations.
• Trouble shooting of Trims parts defects and independently drive actions & process improvements at supplier end.
• Participation, Co-ordination & resolution of concern reported from assembly line, Field, User plant for Seating System parts through root cause analysis, action planning, implementation effectiveness & system closure SCAP, 8D monitoring.
• Chronic concern resolution through systemic problem solving methodology and horizontal deployment.
• Ensure that the lessons learned from product families are implemented for new product development as input for prevention of repeated known issues
• Involvement in new product development, identifying and driving  improvements through early involvement in product development Process and completion of PPAP
• Re-PPAP & PSW for identified critical carryover parts in new Project
• Plan and Conduct Supplier process & Product audits, Concern based/Special Process audits as per requirement

Experience

1. Thorough Knowledge of Seat, Seat Belts, Airbags, Carpets & Roof liners etc.
2. Knowledge of Seating & Soft Trims Manufacturing Process- Frame manufacturing & assembly, Trim cover manufacturing, Foam moulding, Seat assembly & craftsmenship, Fabric lamination & Adhesive Bonding, Cutting & Trimming operations, Thermoforming process etc.
3. Proficient in Microsoft PPT & Advanced Excel applications, Power BI applications
4. Quality concerns resolutions through systemic approach/problem solving tools.
5. Thorough knowledge on APQP/PPAP, DCP, SPC, SCAP, 8D, GD&T, FTG, etc.
6. Basic & advance problem solving tools & techniques.
7. Good communication skills for supplier dealings & regular interactions.
