We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to manage greenfield and brownfield projects for the Adhesives Business. The role involves end-to-end execution of civil and structural projects, including building construction, site development, contractor and consultant coordination, project scheduling, drawing review, and verification of contractor bills. The candidate should be capable of independently managing project activities, leading a team, and ensuring timely and quality project execution.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Execution: Manage end-to-end execution of greenfield and brownfield projects, including civil construction, structural works, factory buildings, and overall site development.
Planning & Scheduling: Prepare project schedules, monitor progress against milestones, manage timelines, and ensure projects are completed within the planned schedule.
Consultant & Contractor Management: Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, civil contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely resolution of site issues.
Drawing Review: Read, interpret, and understand civil, structural, architectural, and construction drawings. Ensure execution is in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Site Supervision: Monitor day-to-day civil and structural activities, ensuring quality standards, safety requirements, and approved construction practices are followed.
Team Management: Lead and coordinate site civil engineers, supervisors, and other team members to achieve project objectives.
Bill Verification: Check and verify contractor bills, measurement sheets, BOQs, and running account (RA) bills. Ensure quantities and work executed at the site match the bills submitted before approval.
Project Coordination: Work closely with internal departments and relevant stakeholders to resolve project-related issues, track dependencies, and maintain project progress.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, identify delays and potential risks, implement corrective actions, and provide regular updates to management.
Cost Control: Monitor project expenses, material consumption, contractor claims, and variations to ensure cost-effective execution within approved budgets.
Project Lifecycle Management: Understand and coordinate all stages of a new project, from initial planning and site development to construction, inspections, and handover.
Required Skills & Experience
6–10years of relevant experience in civil engineering and project execution.
Strong experience in greenfield projects , with exposure to brownfield projects as well.
Experience in industrial construction, including civil works, structural works, factory buildings, and site development.
Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, site engineers, and other project stakeholders.
Experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and timeline management.
Strong understanding of civil and structural drawings, BOQs, quantity estimation, measurement sheets, and contractor bill verification.
Ability to lead a team and independently manage site-level project activities.
Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Key Requirements
B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
6–10 years of relevant experience.
Prior team-handling experience is required.
Strong hands-on experience in greenfield projects and industrial civil and structural construction.
