Amgen seeks a Data Scientist, Forecasting to develop statistical, Bayesian, and machine learning models supporting demand forecasting and business decision-making across the organization. The role involves analyzing complex datasets, building simulation capabilities, and communicating insights to diverse stakeholders within the AI & Data organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine statistical, Bayesian, and machine learning forecasting models across multiple time horizons
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on large, complex datasets
• Build simulation and scenario-analysis capabilities to model patient, payer, and market dynamics
• Support full modeling lifecycle including validation, deployment, monitoring, and explainability
• Communicate analytical findings and model results to stakeholders across technical and business functions

Requirements

• 4+ years industry or research experience in data science, analytics, or statistical modeling
• Demonstrated expertise in time-series forecasting or predictive modeling techniques
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data science libraries like scikit-learn, PyMC, or TensorFlow
• Strong statistical foundation with ability to work with complex, unstructured datasets
• Experience across model development workflow from preparation through interpretation
• Clear communication of technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven collaboration in cross-functional team environments
