Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Engineer to lead critical data transformation initiatives within our IT Services sector. This pivotal role involves orchestrating the seamless transfer of complex datasets from legacy systems to modern architectures, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a fundamental part in optimizing system performance and supporting the organization's strategic digital transformation goals by managing high-volume data operations with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive data migration strategies using industry-standard tools such as SSIS and Oracle ODI.
  • Develop and maintain robust PL/SQL scripts within Oracle environments to handle complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Conduct rigorous data validation procedures to verify the accuracy and completeness of migrated information across different platforms.
  • Optimize application and database performance through advanced tuning techniques, specifically focusing on Java-based components and database queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze source data structures and define mapping requirements for target systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data flow, connectivity, and system performance during migration phases.
  • Document migration processes, technical specifications, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related technical fields.
  • Proficiency in Java programming for building scalable data processing applications.
  • Deep expertise in performance tuning methodologies for databases and enterprise applications.
  • Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL for writing complex stored procedures and functions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data integration tasks.
  • Practical knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for managing large-scale data migration projects.
  • Proven track record in performing thorough data validation and ensuring data quality standards.
  • Familiarity with IT Services industry standards and best practices for data management.
