Position: Data Entry / Computer Operator

Industry: Gold & Silver Hallmarking / Assaying Centre

Locations: Trichy | Karaikal | Mayiladuthurai | Thanjavur

Employment Type: Full-Time

Remuneration: ₹10, 000 – ₹15, 000+ per month (Negotiable based on qualification, experience, and typing speed)

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry / Computer Operators to join a certified Hallmarking Centre . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise records of incoming and processed precious metal articles (gold/silver), entering test/assay results, generating receipts and certificates, and ensuring smooth daily data workflow in compliance with hallmarking standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Inward & Outward Processing: Enter customer details, jeweler codes, article weights, item descriptions, and purity specifications accurately into internal software and databases.

  • Certificate & Tag Generation: Prepare and print hallmarking documentation, job cards, tags, and delivery challans/invoices.

  • Spreadsheet Management: Maintain and update daily operational logs, test batch registers, and dispatch summaries using MS Excel .

  • Quality Check: Cross-verify physical items/counts against data entries to eliminate errors before final verification and laser marking.

  • Shift Reporting: Generate daily shift-end reports summarizing jobs completed, pending articles, and turnaround times.

  • System & File Maintenance: Ensure proper file backups, maintain digital records, and report any system errors promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Any Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any discipline.

  • Computer Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of basic computer operations, data entry software, and MS Office (specifically MS Excel and Word) .

  • Typing Speed & Accuracy: Good typing speed (English / Numeric) with high attention to detail.

  • Freshers & Experienced Candidates: Both fresh graduates with solid typing skills and experienced data entry operators are welcome to apply.

  • Language Skills: Basic working knowledge of English (reading/writing) and fluency in Tamil.

Working Hours & Shifts

Candidates should be open to working in assigned shifts as per operational demands:

  • Morning Shift: 8: 30 AM – 8: 30 PM (Includes 1-Hour Lunch Break)

  • Night Shift: 8: 30 PM – 8: 30 AM (Rotational / as assigned)

  • General Shift: 9: 30 AM – 9: 00 PM (Includes 1-Hour Lunch Break)

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary Range: ₹10,000 to ₹15,000+ per month , commensurable with typing speed, computer proficiency, and relevant experience.

  • Accommodation & Food: Free Food & Accommodation provided for eligible outstation candidates willing to stay on-premises/company quarters (as per company policy).
