Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Data Engineer II to strengthen enterprise data platform capabilities by building and optimizing data pipelines for analytics and reporting. The role involves collaborating across teams to deliver cloud-based data solutions using AWS or Azure in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute source-to-target data analysis and mappings
• Build, test, and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and admins on data engineering deliverables
• Support enterprise data platform architecture evolution and roadmap planning
• Ensure data quality and integrity across data warehouse and AWS platforms

Requirements

• 4+ years work experience with 3+ years in data solutions delivery
• 2+ years building cloud BI solutions on AWS or Azure
• 4+ years programming in SQL, PySpark, and Python
• Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps, DataOps, and DevSecOps
• Proven expertise with Large Language Models and retrieval-augmented generation
• Strong analysis, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
