About the job

We are looking for a Data Analyst/Business Analyst to work closely with business teams and leadership to support better decisions, optimisation, and operational efficiency through data. This role goes beyond routine reporting. You will contribute to analysing business problems, building data solutions, and supporting teams with insights that help improve outcomes over time.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with business stakeholders to understand problems and data requirements.
2. Translate business questions into clear data logic, queries, and metrics.
3. Create daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to support business decision-making.
4. Help identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities within business processes.
4. Participate in discussions and reviews, sharing insights and observations from data.
5. Improve existing reports, queries, and workflows for better clarity, accuracy, and performance.
6. Support teams by ensuring insights are well-communicated and actionable.
7. Build and maintain SQL queries, Google Sheets models, and dashboards using Metabase/Tableau/Power BI.

What This Role Is NOT:
1. Not limited to basic reporting or pivot tables.
2. Not just building dashboards and handing them over.
3. Not a purely back-office support role.
4. You'll work closely with business teams, using data to support everyday decisions and improvements.

Other requirements

Required:

1. Strong fundamentals in SQL.

2. Good working knowledge of Google Sheets (formulas, logic, data handling).

3. Experience with at least one data visualisation tool.

4. Metabase/Tableau/Power BI

5. Good analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.

6. Comfort with numbers, logic, and basic mathematics.

7. Curious about how businesses work and how data can support decisions.

8. Thinks in terms of cause and effect, not just numbers.

9. Comfortable asking questions to understand context before building solutions.

10. Willing to take responsibility for their work and learn from outcomes.

11. Interested in continuously improving processes, queries, and data workflows.

Preferred:

1. Coding or automation skills (Python, Apps Script, or similar).

2. Exposure to business metrics, funnels, or operations data.
