Data Analyst - Python/ Power BI/ SQL in Rāniganj, India

Responsibilities and Duties

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
Perform data analysis, validation, and interpretation using SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools.
Build and optimize data models within Power BI for efficiency and scalability.
Develop DAX queries and calculations to enhance dashboard functionality.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through proper validation and testing.
Work with Data Engineers to integrate multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud sources) into Power BI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics needs across departments.
Maintain documentation, user guides, and provide training to business users for Power BI reports.
Stay updated with the latest features of Power BI and recommend best practices for dashboard design and performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, with strong focus on Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Strong expertise in building data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
• Experience working with large datasets, data warehouses, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Excellent understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, IT, and data engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik) in addition to Power BI.
Knowledge of Python for advanced data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
Experience with data governance, quality, and compliance practices.
Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent.
