Role & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, and prescribe evidence-based treatment plans for adult patients.
Manage inpatient and outpatient care, including follow-ups, chronic disease monitoring (diabetes, hypertension, COPD), and preventive health counseling.
Collaborate with specialists (cardiologists, endocrinologists, pulmonologists) for referrals and co-management of complex cases.
Document patient encounters using digital EHR systems and ensure compliance with clinical governance and medico-legal standards.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement cycles, and continuous medical education sessions to maintain practice standards.
Provide teleconsultations and health education sessions to improve patient adherence and health literacy.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
MD/DNB in General Medicine (from NMC-recognized institute)
Valid NMC Registration
Proficiency in EHR systems and digital clinical documentation
Experience managing common medical conditions (diabetes, HTN, respiratory, GI, infections)
Strong clinical decision-making in emergency scenarios
Effective patient communication and health counseling skills
Preferred
Experience in telemedicine platforms
Postgraduate training in internal medicine subspecialties
Membership in professional medical associations (IMA, NMA)
