The role focuses on component engineering deliverables including part life cycle management, PCB design, and component standardization, reporting to the Director of Engineering in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
Verify part life cycles and perform BOM scrubbing and roadmap analysis
Review Product Change Notices for impact and provide obsolescence data to customers
Suggest alternate parts using Form-Fit-Function and value engineering principles
Support change management processes and prepare component selection criteria
Standardize electrical and electromechanical components in database and work with global stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent
3-6 years industrial experience in Component Engineering and ECAD
Understanding of electrical designs and obsolescence management
Ability to interpret EBOM, engineering drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management principles
Experience identifying Form-Fit-Function and alternate parts for connectors
