About the job

We are a fast-growing global edtech platform teaching bright, curious kids across 15+ countries including the US, UK, and Australia. We handle the heavy lifting (curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching tools) so you can focus entirely on what you do best: teaching brilliantly and making learning fun. As an Online Tutor at Codeyoung, you will conduct engaging 1:1 live online classes for children aged 5-17 from across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

2. Make every class interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate.
3. Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching styles based on each child's learning level.
4. Build positive connections with students and create a comfortable learning environment.
5. Encourage students to ask questions, participate actively, and think independently.
6. Use activities, examples, questions, and discussions to make concepts easier to understand.
7. Track student progress and share relevant feedback after classes.
8. Follow Codeyoung's lesson plans, teaching processes, and classroom standards consistently.
9. Ensure students leave each class with a better understanding, increased confidence, and greater interest in the subject.
10. Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and high-quality delivery across every session.

Commitment: 5 hours a day | 6 days a week (1 guaranteed off-day per roster)

Round 2: VNA Chat (15 mins): A quick, friendly conversation about your goals, fit, and availability.

Onboarding into a "Star Tutor":
Before you hit the virtual classroom, our launchpad training will set you up to win. You'll master our methodology, practice through mock sessions, and gain total confidence.

Why Teachers Actually Love It Here:

1. We built Codeyoung because we were tired of seeing brilliant educators treated like seat-fillers.
2. No Lesson-Planning Burnout: Complete, high-quality materials are ready from Day 1.
3. Real Support: Mentors, trainers, and admins who actually reply when you need them.
4. The "Lightbulb" Moment: Nothing beats the high of watching a kid's face light up when a tough concept finally clicks. You'll feel that magic in your very first month.

Started by two passionate and visionary IIT graduates, with the vision to make kids in the world problem solvers, creative leaders, and innovators for the future. Our aim is to channel and give purpose to inquisitive and creative young minds by helping them discover and understand technology in the most organic manner, while also being active contributors to developing technology rather than just being passive consumers. We want every kid in the world to code!
