Cloud Engineer, Governance & SRE in भारत

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Specialist, GitHub & Cloud Platform Engineer to join our enterprise cloud team. This role focuses on managing cloud DevOps environments, GitHub enterprise solutions, implementing Public Cloud Landing Zone governance, and supporting multi-cloud
infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud services, GitHub enterprise management, DevOps practices, and enterprise-scale platform management, combined with exceptional soft skills to drive innovation and work independently in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

DevOps & Source Control Governance

Administer Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise (organizations, repositories, access management, security guardrails, and enterprise workflows).

Manage CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, custom runners, permissions, branch policies, and extensions.

Automate administrative reporting, telemetry, and platform operations using PowerShell, REST APIs, and Power BI.

Cloud Engineering, Governance & SRE

Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud resources hands-on with high availability, reliability, and SRE principles.

Implement and maintain Azure Landing Zones, management groups, resource tagging, and compliance guardrails.

Build and maintain modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures with a primary focus on Terraform.

Design standardized cloud deployment templates, automated gates, and GitHub-based delivery workflows across multi-cloud footprints.

Documentation & Developer Enablement

Maintain technical platform documentation, architecture designs, and runbooks using Docusaurus, Markdown, and wikis.

Support inner-source collaboration, developer self-service patterns, and tooling enablement across distributed engineering teams.

Must have

Core Competencies:

Azure DevOps Server / TFS & GitHub Enterprise

Cloud Engineering / SRE Experience (Hands-on resource provisioning & lifecycle management)

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — Terraform (Primary), ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation

Public Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (Primary), AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

CI/CD Engines: GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins

Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, YAML

Experience & Skill Thresholds:

5+ years of hands-on Azure DevOps (or TFS) and 3+ years of GitHub Enterprise administration.

Hands-on Cloud Engineering or SRE track record deploying and maintaining production cloud resources at scale.

Strong Terraform proficiency creating and managing scalable, reusable cloud infrastructure modules.

Deep Azure governance expertise, including Landing Zones, Azure Policy, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and identity architecture (Entra ID).

Demonstrated pipeline delivery via GitHub Actions and enterprise CI/CD systems.

Working knowledge of AWS foundational services (e.g., S3, Glue, IAM, Networking).

Operational reporting and metric dashboarding experience using Power BI and platform APIs.

Solid technical documentation skills using Markdown and Docusaurus.

Nice to have

Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar)

GitHub certifications or demonstrated expertise in GitHub Enterprise

Experience with enterprise-scale Azure and GitHub deployments

Knowledge of compliance frameworks and governance requirements

Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure + AWS)

Background in financial services or highly regulated industries

Experience with offshore team coordination and incident response models

Familiarity with GitHub Copilot for Business and AI-assisted development workflows
