GE HealthCare seeks a Chief Software Architect to define technology strategy, architecture standards, and design governance for Patient Care Solutions Digital applications. The role provides technical leadership across clinical and service workflows, partnering with cross-functional teams to align architecture with customer needs, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and own technology strategy and architecture roadmap for PCS Digital applications
• Establish architecture standards, guardrails, and patterns across data, applications, security, and lifecycle management
• Drive technical design reviews assessing trade-offs related to safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and cost
• Partner with stakeholders to translate clinical workflows and business needs into architecture decisions
• Mentor principal architects and senior technical leaders to strengthen technical execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field
• 15+ years of technical experience in software, systems, cloud, or distributed application architecture
• 5+ years of technical leadership in healthcare, life science, or regulated software environments
• Demonstrated experience defining technical strategy, architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, data platforms, integration patterns, cybersecurity, and reliability
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority
• Strong communication skills explaining complex technical topics to engineers, leaders, and external partners
