About the Role

One of our banking clients is looking for a Business Banking Manager to support its Business Banking function in Mumbai.

Branch Banking is the liability business, serving customers through channels including Personal Banking, Private Banking and Business Banking. The primary objective of this role is to enhance the value of the existing trade account portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and support business clients with complex credit financing needs in line with applicable regulatory requirements.

• Advise on credit-related client solutions and assess loans from an income and risk perspective within existing credit processes.

• Prepare credit submissions for approval and independently apply for credit authority or approvals.

• Monitor credit exposures and identify credit material deterioration throughout the client relationship lifecycle.

• Identify business clients’ credit needs and propose suitable products, services and/or solutions.

• Support efforts to gain new business and grow earnings potential from existing clients, including through client conferences.

• Advise and guide teams in developing bespoke products, solutions and platforms.

• Work with functional and cross-functional colleagues to ensure products, solutions and platforms meet the needs of the bank and clients.

• Participate in the negotiation and execution of mandated transactions with clients, where required.

• Optimally utilise resources and comply with defined performance targets, internal guidelines, controls and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain and grow business contacts and leads in the lending business.

• Ensure compliance with internal and credit-related regulations.

• Implement regulatory KYC requirements and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in servicing or sourcing clients.

• Experience in liabilities for sourcing capital accounts, including FDI, ODI and ECB.

• Banking, premium club membership, or paid high-end credit card sales background preferred.

• Excellent English communication skills and professional presentation.

• Minimum qualification: Graduation.

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
