About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who can understand business problems, work confidently with data, translate requirements into actionable deliverables, and take ownership of assigned projects.

This role brings together Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and Agile Project Coordination.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Power BI developers, data engineers, and technical teams to:

Understand business processes, identify problems, and translate business needs into clear requirements.
Own requirement documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Plan and track project activities, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.
Analyze and validate data using SQL and Excel.
Coordinate Agile delivery, sprint activities, testing, and business sign-offs.
Conduct Domain calls with Business Stakeholders.
Identify risks, resolve dependencies, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

We need someone who can take a problem, bring clarity to it, organize the work, and drive it toward completion.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Understand the Business & Define Requirements

Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and expected outcomes.
Conduct requirement-gathering discussions and workshops independently.
Create clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
Understand existing workflows, identify gaps, and document current-state and future-state processes.
Create process flows, diagrams, and other documentation to explain complex business processes.
Challenge unclear requirements, identify missing information, and resolve ambiguity before development begins.
Work with technical teams to ensure business requirements are understood and feasible.

2. Plan, Coordinate & Drive Delivery

Break down requirements and projects into manageable deliverables using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Maintain project plans, trackers, timelines, dependencies, and action items.
Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, and other teams to keep deliverables moving.
Proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, and drive their resolution.
Track progress against committed timelines and communicate deviations early.
Facilitate meetings with clear agendas, documented decisions, owners, and next steps.
Prepare concise progress updates for project stakeholders and management.

3. Manage Agile Delivery

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Create and manage Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Bugs in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Maintain a well-defined and prioritized backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with developers to clarify requirements and support delivery during sprints.
Track sprint commitments, progress, carryovers, and blockers.
Support backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and upcoming sprint planning.
Ensure completed work meets defined requirements before business acceptance.

4. Analyze, Validate & Work with Data

Write SQL queries to extract, join, compare, and validate data across different sources.
Use Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and identifying inconsistencies.
Investigate data quality issues, mismatches, and business rule discrepancies.
Work with data engineers and Power BI developers to understand data transformations and reporting logic.
Validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and calculations against business requirements and source data.
Translate business reporting requirements into clear data and functional specifications.
Present analytical findings in a simple and actionable manner.

5. Manage Testing & Business Acceptance

Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
Validate delivered functionality and investigate reported defects.
Track defects, coordinate fixes, and manage retesting.
Ensure requirements are met and business sign-offs are obtained before production deployment.
Support post-deployment validation and issue resolution.
