JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to operate institutional vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring the timely transportation of staff, students, materials, and other assigned personnel as required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate heavy vehicles safely in accordance with traffic rules and regulations.
• Transport staff, students, materials, and other authorized personnel as assigned.
• Ensure timely pickup and drop-off as per the assigned schedule.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and check brakes, tyres, lights, fuel, and other essential components.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep.
• Report mechanical issues, breakdowns, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain trip sheets, logbooks, fuel records, and other vehicle-related documents.
• Ensure all vehicle documents, permits, insurance, and fitness certificates are valid.
• Follow institutional safety policies and maintain professional conduct.
• Coordinate with the transport department for daily schedules and vehicle assignments.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ELIGIBILITY

• Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licence is mandatory.
• 2–5 years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts when required.
• Clean driving record preferred.
