Role: Build Quality Engineer (Charger)

Department: New Product Development Location: Bengaluru, India Experience: 3+ Years

Your Team:

You'll be working with New Product Development — a group that runs on coffee and an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging.

Our philosophy:

Break. Believe. Build.

Break stuff, break assumptions, break the thumb rule.

Believe in the team, the process, and through failures.

Build fast, build passionately, build to simplify.

Own it like you mean it.

What you’ll own:

We are seeking a Build Quality Engineer to own factory-floor quality during charger prototype builds — catching deviations early, driving root cause on build issues, and certifying builds ready for testing.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-obsessed, and comfortable being the last line of defense before a charger build moves to test.

What you’ll do:

Prototype Build Quality

Own quality oversight during charger prototype assembly builds
Identify and document issues as they occur during assembly
Capture part and build deviations and log them for tracking

RCA & Feedback

Drive root cause analysis on issues identified during charger prototype builds
Provide assembly feedback to the charger design and process quality engineers

Build Certification

Certify charger assemblies as ready before they proceed to testing
Support closure of build-related non-conformances before test handoff

Cross-functional Collaboration

Interface with the charger design and process quality teams on recurring build issues
Escalate patterns and systemic issues to the Function Lead

What you’ll bring:

Education qualification
B.E. / https://jobeax.com/link/2DENLGgQM7whDhaE in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years of experience in prototype or manufacturing builds
Working knowledge of deviation tracking and basic RCA tools
Comfortable working hands-on, daily, on the factory floor

Preferred Experience (Good to Have):

Experience in EV charger or power electronics build environments
Exposure to charger assembly processes

What matters to us:

Quality of work
Structured problem-solving
Dissatisfaction with mediocre work
Ability to multi-task and handle a dynamic working environment
Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
