Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled BIW (Body-in-White) Robotic Simulation Engineer with experience in robot simulation, pre-engineering, layout planning, and cycle time optimization. The candidate will be responsible for developing and validating robotic simulation cells, performing feasibility studies, and supporting offline programming for automotive manufacturing projects at customer sites across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and develop robotic simulation cells for BIW manufacturing processes.

• Conduct robot reachability and feasibility studies.

• Perform BIW tooling validation and ensure process feasibility.

• Carry out weld distribution, welding gun selection, and gun sectioning.

• Prepare cycle time charts and optimize robotic cycle times.

• Create plant and workcell layouts based on simulation results.

• Perform robot offline programming (OLP).

• Configure and validate Robot Controller Simulation (RCS) using Robot Reference System (RRS), as applicable.

• Generate robot program downloads and related simulation outputs.

• Validate robotic processes in workcells and stations.

• Perform quality checks in accordance with prescribed standards.

• Participate in technical reviews and discussions with customers.

• Prepare customer-prescribed technical documentation.

• Support knowledge sharing and maintain project documentation.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in BIW robotic simulation.

• Knowledge of robot pre-engineering and simulation cell development.

• Experience in layout planning and cycle time optimization.

• Understanding of robot reachability, feasibility studies, and process validation.

• Ability to prepare technical documentation and participate in customer reviews.

• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites across India.

• Siemens Process Simulate

• RCS Configuration: FANUC, KUKA, and ABB robots

• MicroStation

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with MBRDI (Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India) and other global OEMs will be an added advantage.

• Experience in automotive manufacturing and BIW robotic simulation projects is preferred.
