Design and optimise MongoDB schemas, collections, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and database queries.
Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable code following established software engineering principles.
Implement authentication, authorisation, data validation, error handling, and appropriate security controls.
Design backend architectures that support high availability, scalability, reliability, and performance.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across APIs, database operations, and application services.

Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and application reliability.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
Collaborate with frontend, Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features efficiently.

Support deployment pipelines, application monitoring, logging, and production releases.
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to coding standards and development best practices.

What Makes You a Great Fit
6+ years of professional experience in backend development, with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js.
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript , including asynchronous programming and modern language features.
Strong experience developing production-grade backend applications using https://jobeax.com/link/JSd7UYCSg572jJDY frameworks such as https://jobeax.com/link/AfY7qZRjVtazPhHg or NestJS .
Proven expertise in MongoDB , including schema design, indexing, query optimisation, and aggregation pipelines.

Knowledge of authentication, authorisation, API security, and secure coding practices.
Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, caching, message queues, and application monitoring is an advantage.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex technical deliverables.
