We are seeking a forward-looking AI Software Architect to design, build, and scale next-generation applications leveraging cloud-native architectures, AI/ML capabilities, and modern engineering practices.

The individual owns technical decisions and direction for their portfolio, driving the design of cloud-native solutions that incorporate AI/ML capabilities and modern engineering practices. Designs applications and platforms required to automate business processes and meet business needs as integrated solutions that may run on multiple platforms and be composed of multiple software packages and custom components. Assumes overall technical responsibility for the success of solution construction, implementation, and system integration.

Architectural Design: Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS services to design and implement cloud-based solutions, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ROSA and more.

AI Architecture: Define AI/ML architectural patterns and guardrails for the portfolio, including evaluation and selection of GenAI platforms, LLM integration approaches, and agentic frameworks.

Engineering Excellence: Lead and model high-quality software development practices, ensuring code quality and best practices across assigned projects.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and operations, to define business needs and ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.

Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring applications run efficiently at scale.

Implement security best practices to protect data and applications, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.

Keeping abreast of, recommending and driving new technologies towards implementation and adoption.

12+ years of experience in end-to-end application development, with a strong focus on designing, building, and deploying scalable solutions on AWS Cloud.

• 2+ years of experience in Software Architecture, leading system design, defining architectural standards, and driving technology strategy for enterprise applications.
• Experience with the architecture and design of enterprise software solutions, applications, integrations, security and platform engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff Software Engineers with best practices and leadership.
• Experience defining and maintaining accountability to Architectural Design Patterns and serving as a technology domain's escalation point.
• Experience architecting solutions that incorporate AI/ML or GenAI capabilities, including LLM integration, agentic workflows, or AI-powered features.
• Familiarity with AWS AI/ML services at a design and evaluation level, including Bedrock, SageMaker, and AgentCore.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Highly proficient with leading Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, practices and tools in an enterprise technology environment is required.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Ability to champion a collaborative environment by empowering team members, demonstrating resilience, being inclusive and building a culture of trust.

Ability to build and sustain robust networks across internal and external stakeholders.

Being a coach/mentor/advisor to drive continuous team development and growth.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related technical field is preferred.

Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.

Advanced knowledge of Java or another enterprise programming language and frameworks.

Experience working with agentic frameworks such as AWS Strands, Google ADK, LangChain.

Experience designing MCP-based integrations to connect AI agents with enterprise tools and data sources.

Familiarity with prompt engineering principles, RAG architectures, or multi-agent orchestration patterns.
