About the Role

We are seeking Audio Engineers and audio production professionals with strong expertise in audio quality assurance, recording quality, audio restoration, and sound analysis.

You’ll review and annotate audio and robotic video data, identify recording and sound-quality issues, and provide accurate labels, notes, and feedback according to defined project guidelines. The role requires strong listening skills, technical audio knowledge, attention to detail, and consistent application of quality standards.

No prior AI experience is required. Your audio expertise and ability to identify and document sound-quality issues are the primary qualifications.

What You’ll Do

• Review and annotate audio and robotic video content according to established guidelines.

• Identify common audio quality issues, including background noise, clipping, distortion, echo, hum, dropouts, and other recording artifacts.

• Assess the clarity, quality, and usability of audio recordings.

• Accurately categorize and label audio quality issues.

• Provide clear notes, annotations, and technical feedback on reviewed content.

• Apply audio quality and annotation standards consistently across assigned tasks.

• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail during audio review.

• Communicate findings and observations clearly with project teams.

• Work independently to complete assigned review and annotation tasks.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional or academic experience in audio engineering, audio production, sound editing, music technology, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of audio quality and common recording and playback issues.

• Familiarity with audio editing, restoration, or production tools.

• Ability to identify subtle differences in audio quality and accurately categorize defects.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Comfortable reviewing both audio and video content.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Music Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with audio quality assurance, editing, restoration, annotation, or media review.

• Previous experience with data annotation, AI training, or similar projects is a plus but not required.

Engagement & Compensation

• Contractor engagement.

• Part-time, remote work.

• $50–$90 per hour.

• Annual compensation equivalent of $96,000–$172,800 based on 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks. This is a full-time annualized equivalent for comparison only; actual earnings will depend on the part-time hours and assignments available.
