Amgen seeks an Associate Python Developer to build and enhance backend services, APIs, and data integrations supporting commercialization technology operations. The role involves developing cloud-based solutions using Python, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and emerging technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI, REST frameworks, and supporting libraries
• Design service-layer capabilities supporting front-end applications, analytics, enterprise integrations, and downstream consumers
• Develop RESTful API integrations with enterprise applications and governed data platforms
• Create and maintain data integrations, SQL queries, data models, and application data flows using PostgreSQL
• Monitor backend services, troubleshoot issues, participate in production support, and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 2-4 years of professional software development, application development, or technology experience
• Hands-on backend development experience with Python or comparable server-side technologies
• Experience designing REST APIs, database integrations, and enterprise application connections
• Working knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL, SQL, and data persistence concepts
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Power Platform
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and access controls
