About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
2. Build and integrate REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
3. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Python code.
4. Design and work with databases and write optimized SQL queries.
5. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
6. Develop new features based on business and product requirements.
7. Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
8. Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
9. Perform testing and ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
10. Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.

Required:

1. Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Python development.

2. Strong proficiency in Python and Django is mandatory.

3. Good knowledge of Django REST Framework and REST APIs.

4. Strong understanding of databases and SQL.

5. Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL is preferred.

6. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.

7. Familiarity with Git and version control.

8. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

10. Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

1. Experience with Django REST Framework.

2. Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL.

3. Familiarity with Redis, Celery, or background task processing.

4. Basic knowledge of Docker and deployment.

5. Experience with third-party API integrations.

6. Exposure to AI/ML-based applications will be an added advantage.
