Pfizer seeks an Associate Manager in Microbiology for its Vizag facility to oversee quality control and stability testing operations. The role involves managing test method validation, ensuring GMP compliance, conducting microbiological investigations, and leading cross-functional teams in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Create, review, and approve test method transfer, validation protocols, and equipment qualification records
Maintain GMP compliance in Quality Control and Stability laboratories
Support media preparation, bio ball culture handling, and conduct microbiological investigations
Perform sample testing, manage LIMS builds, and review laboratory data for accuracy
Participate in cross-functional teams, lead safety inspections, and recommend corrective actions
Requirements
M.Sc. in Microbiology or related field with 8+ years of industry experience
Expertise in method validation, NPI MLT, BET, sterility testing, and bio-assays
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance operations
Proficiency with pharmacopeia methods and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Deep understanding of reagents management and microbiological sterility testing protocols
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to mentor junior staff
