Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the electrical design and engineering of utility-scale solar PV (Photovoltaic) power plants through proposal, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), and detailed engineering stages. The role requires sound technical knowledge of solar electrical systems, design calculations, equipment selection, technical documentation, and effective coordination with designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review SLDs (Single-Line Diagrams), cable schedules, load lists, equipment schedules, and other electrical engineering deliverables.
- Perform DC (Direct Current) and AC (Alternating Current) system design, including PV string and inverter configuration, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, transformer sizing, and MV (Medium Voltage) collection-system design.
- Prepare and review lightning-protection calculations, equipment specifications, datasheets, and BOQ/MTO (Bill of Quantities/Material Take-Off).
- Perform solar PV system modeling, energy-yield assessment, and design optimization using PVsyst.
- Provide technical inputs to the PVcase designer, review PVcase-based layouts and outputs, and coordinate design revisions to ensure alignment with electrical design requirements.
- Provide design inputs to designer, review drawings, and coordinate revisions to ensure technical accuracy and consistency with project requirements.
- Support substation and grid-interconnection engineering at the POI (Point of Interconnection).
- Review vendor documents, technical bids, RFIs (Requests for Information), and equipment submissions.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Protection and Control, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and resolution of project-related engineering queries .#LI-IB2
