Gilead Sciences seeks an Associate Director of Operations to lead IT operations for its Global Capability Center in Bengaluru. The role focuses on establishing governance frameworks, managing financial and workforce planning, driving operational excellence, and building high-performing teams across enterprise-scale programs.
Responsibilities
Establish and evolve governance frameworks, processes, and systems to drive standardization and operational excellence
Serve as single point of contact for IT leadership, providing visibility, prioritization, and executive reporting across programs
Own operational financial governance including budgeting, forecasting, spend tracking, and financial reporting
Drive workforce planning, capacity management, and hiring coordination in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition
Build and lead high-performing operations organization, developing PMO and VMO capabilities
Requirements
14+ years progressive experience in IT Operations, PMO, Portfolio Management, or GCC/Shared Services environments
Proven expertise designing scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and management systems
Strong IT budget management, financial forecasting, and spend optimization experience
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex operational topics clearly
Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting
Knowledge of governance, audit readiness, compliance frameworks, and enterprise controls
Track record leading cross-functional transformation, process optimization, and operational maturity initiatives
