Leica Microsystems seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive microsurgery product sales across government and private institutions in Bangalore. The role combines direct selling, market strategy development, and territory expansion with accountability for revenue targets and market share growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of microsurgery product portfolio including neuro, ENT, spine, and ophthalmology lines in assigned territory
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with key personnel and renowned surgeons in customer accounts
  • Develop and execute market attack plans focused on growth opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Monitor business results including product mix, volumes, pricing, and customer profitability
  • Conduct extensive field visits and demonstrations within assigned geography to government and private institutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, engineering, pharmacy, biotechnology, or science; or equivalent strong sales experience
  • Minimum 8 years selling surgical operating microscopes, medical devices, or related equipment
  • Proven track record of consistent sales growth and meeting revenue targets
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with sound business acumen
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM platform
  • Technical ability to demonstrate microscopy equipment in operating theater environments
  • Exposure to channel partner management, particularly in South India region
