Android Engineer Intern - 6 months in Bangalore, भारत

Responsibilities

• Build new and key features for Carousell’s Android application in collaboration with product managers and designers.
• Own projects from design discussions through implementation and deployment.
• Write clean, modular, functionally correct Kotlin code with unit tests.
• Analyze and optimize Android app performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high-quality engineering culture.
• Apply Android design principles to create intuitive user experiences.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
• Proven ability to ship beautiful, stable, and high-performance Android applications from start to finish.
• Strong Computer Science background with understanding of the Android framework, best practices, and design patterns.
• Ability to manage complexity and collaborate with client engineers, backend engineers, designers, and product teams.
• Strong UX and design sensibility.
• User empathy, resourcefulness, integrity, and ability to collaborate positively with others.
