KittySpout / DoggySpout is looking for a Direct Response Video Editor to join our team! As our video editor, you will be responsible for editing, producing, and managing multiple creative projects with a heavy focus on paid ad creatives for Meta Platforms - VSLs, short and long form. You'll take raw UGC and transform it into high-converting direct response ads that scale across our paid channels. We spend $2,000,000+ per month on Meta. We are looking to hire someone with 3+ years of work experience. The ideal candidate has deep DTC experience editing paid ads, understands direct response principles, runs a current AI stack in production, and delivers volume and quality in the same week without being chased.

Who are we?

KittySpout is a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters, and accessories. We sell across Shopify, Amazon, and Chewy, and we're one of the fastest-growing brands in the pet space — $22M+ in revenue and targeting $45-50M in 2026. We recently launched DoggySpout, expanding into an entirely new vertical and customer base. We're lean, we move fast, and every person on this team has a massive impact on the business.

What is our culture like & who is a good fit?

Culture-fit is our #1 factor when hiring! We have a genuine will-to-win. No work is beneath us if it moves us towards our goals. We utilize creativity to do more with less - and quickly. We use data to make decisions and live by the following three core values: work smart, overdeliver, speed is king, and better everyday. We love learning - every problem is an opportunity to grow.

If you want a stress-free corporate 9-5 job, this isn't it.

If you want to challenge yourself and shape a fast-growing company, work directly with the founders, and see huge career growth by playing a big role in scaling it to $100m+... If you want to drive results with a group of passionate, smart, hardworking people, work in an environment without politics or corporate chicanery, and play a big part in our growth being hands-on and active, all while having a generous performance bonus structure — then you've come to the right place.

This Role Is Not For You If

You are a meticulous video perfectionist who will spend hours refining a single transition or effect. With a high daily quota, success in this role demands efficiency. Adhering perfectly to the video template at speed is valued over spending extra time on minor details that don't contribute to views or conversions.
You thrive in highly collaborative, team-oriented environments with frequent meetings and brainstorming sessions. This is a high-autonomy, "heads-down" role where you will be working independently the majority of the time to meet your individual production goals.
You are a methodical planner who prefers stable, long-term projects and predictable workflows. Our environment is inherently dynamic. The tools, guidelines, and video styles can change overnight, and you must be able to pivot instantly without frustration.

How Our Hiring Works & How We Operate

We review applications on a rolling basis. If you're a great fit and the timing isn't right immediately, you'll be first in line when a spot opens up, exceptional candidates may be hired immediately.
Our process has three stages:
(1) Application Review + Screening - we assess your background and experience to confirm mutual fit.
(2) Technical Interview + Creative Brief - a short practical exercise so we can see how you think and work.
(3) Culture Fit Interview - a final conversation with the founder to make sure this is the right team for you and you're the right person for us.
KPIs and performance targets will be defined together before your start date so expectations are crystal clear from day one.

For this role, we will walk you through the long-term vision and opportunities that have us excited about this business — and how you fit in. We will show you our current structure and where we are headed.

USD $1,000 - $1,500 per month (based on experience and expertise) + percentage of ad spend bonus structure.
