About the job

Key responsibilities:

A. Accounting Operations
1. Post accounting entries and maintain books of accounts.
2. Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
3. Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations.
4. Conduct periodic bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
5. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure activities.
6. Verify accounting documents and ensure proper record maintenance.

B. Taxation & Compliance
1. Prepare data for GST return filing, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliations.
2. Reconcile GST Input Tax Credit (ITC) with purchase registers.
3. Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing.
4. Maintain taxation records and compliance trackers.
5. Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by providing required documentation.

C. Business Support
1. Reconcile transactions from e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
2. Assist in accounting for marketplace deductions, commissions, and returns.
3. Support inventory-related accounting and reconciliation processes.
4. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and business teams to address accounting queries.

D. Reporting & Controls
1. Prepare MIS reports and account schedules.
2. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
3. Identify discrepancies and assist in process improvements.
4. Support the implementation of financial controls and documentation requirements.

Other requirements

1. Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.

2. Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.

3. Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas).

4. ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar accounting software.

5. Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.

6. Attention to detail and accuracy.

7. BCom/MCom/BBA (Finance) or equivalent.
