About the job

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime
2. Handle sales and purchase entries, invoices, debit notes and credit notes
3. Prepare and verify GST invoices and e-invoices/e-way bills
4. Maintain GST records and coordinate for timely GST return filing
5. Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
6. Follow up and maintain records of customer outstanding payments
7. Record and verify supplier bills and maintain vendor outstanding
8. Perform bank reconciliation and cash/bank entries
9. Maintain proper records of expenses, receipts and payments
10. Reconcile customer and supplier ledgers
11. Assist in monthly closing and preparation of accounting reports
12. Maintain proper documentation of all accounting transactions
13. Coordinate with CA/auditors for GST, TDS, audit and other compliance requirements
14. Assist in stock reconciliation and inventory accounting
15. Verify purchase and sales data with physical/system stock wherever required
16. Prepare basic MIS reports related to sales, purchases, outstanding, expenses and stock
17. Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records
18. Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as required

Accounting English Proficiency (Written) MS-Excel MS-Office Tally

Other requirements

Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP

Good knowledge of GST, TDS and basic accounting

Good understanding of debit/credit, ledgers, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet

Knowledge of e-invoicing and e-way bills

Good MS Excel skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and coordination skills

Ability to independently handle day-to-day accounting work

Experience in manufacturing, plastic, FMCG, trading or wholesale business, handling high-volume sales and purchase transactions, inventory/stock accounting, coordinating with CA/auditors and dealing with B2B customers and large retail companies is an advantage
