About the Role

We are seeking experienced Accountants and Auditors to review financial information, assess reporting accuracy, and evaluate compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax requirements.

In this remote contract role, you will apply your expertise in financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, financial modeling, and tax compliance to assess financial documentation and provide actionable recommendations. You will also contribute practical financial scenarios and case studies to support the development and evaluation of AI systems.

This opportunity is suited to finance professionals with substantial hands-on experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex accounting and auditing concepts clearly. Previous AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable GAAP or IFRS standards.

• Analyze financial data and identify inconsistencies, reporting errors, or areas requiring further review.

• Develop and validate financial models using advanced Excel functions.

• Assess financial calculations, assumptions, and supporting documentation.

Audit Procedures & Internal Controls

• Review and document audit procedures and internal control frameworks.

• Evaluate audit documentation for accuracy and consistency.

• Assess financial processes and identify potential control weaknesses.

• Provide recommendations based on findings from financial reviews and audit assessments.

Tax Compliance

• Analyze tax compliance documentation for accuracy and alignment with relevant regulations.

• Identify discrepancies or documentation gaps requiring further investigation.

• Assess the consistency of supporting financial records and tax-related information.

Reporting & AI Evaluation Support

• Prepare detailed written reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.

• Develop practical financial scenarios and case studies based on real-world accounting and auditing situations.

• Provide concise, constructive feedback on financial documentation and reporting practices.

• Explain accounting judgments, audit findings, and financial concepts clearly to support AI model evaluation and improvement.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, auditing, or tax compliance.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and international financial reporting requirements.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and analytical functions.

• Demonstrated experience conducting audits and preparing audit documentation for different types of business entities.

• Ability to assess financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation critically.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.

• Experience contributing to financial process improvements.

• Experience working on technology-driven finance projects.

• Ability to develop practical case studies involving financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, or tax compliance.
