About the job

As the Academic Content Developer for IIDE's Digital Marketing & Business Programs (PG, UG & Certificate Courses), you will play a pivotal role in creating high-quality, industry-relevant academic content that strengthens the learner experience and keeps IIDE's curriculum aligned with evolving business needs.

This role involves researching emerging business and digital trends, developing structured learning material, creating engaging academic resources, and collaborating closely with faculty members, subject matter experts, and internal teams. You will contribute across the academic content lifecycle from research and curriculum development to content creation, review, and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of academic quality and industry relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Academic Content Development
1. Develop structured academic content, including presentations, lesson plans, learning notes, case studies, assignments, exercises, and assessments.
2. Translate complex business, digital, and technology concepts into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly content.
3. Create learning materials and assessments that balance conceptual understanding with practical, real-world, and industry-oriented applications.

B. Research and Curriculum Enhancement
1. Conduct ongoing research across digital business, marketing, AI, technology, entrepreneurship, management, and emerging industry trends.
2. Identify relevant frameworks, tools, case studies, business examples, data points, and industry developments to strengthen classroom learning.
3. Support the continuous review, updating, and enhancement of existing curricula to ensure relevance to changing industry requirements.

C. Content Quality and Academic Standards
1. Review and edit academic materials for accuracy, clarity, structure, consistency, relevance, and learner engagement.
2. Ensure all academic content aligns with IIDE's learning objectives, academic standards, and programme expectations.
3. Maintain consistency in tone, depth, structure, and quality across learning materials developed for Digital Marketing & Business Programs.

D. Cross-Functional Collaboration
1. Collaborate with faculty members, subject matter experts, academic teams, and other stakeholders to develop and refine course content.
2. Incorporate feedback from faculty, learners, and internal stakeholders to continuously improve academic materials.
3. Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure content deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

E. Additional Duties
1. Support the development of new courses, modules, academic initiatives, and curriculum updates as required.
2. Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve learner engagement, content effectiveness, and overall academic quality.
3. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.

Other requirements

1. 1 to 5 years of experience in content development, curriculum design, or education-focused roles, preferably with a focus on business, entrepreneurship, or digital education.

2. Strong research, writing, editing, proofreading, and academic content-development skills.

3. Ability to simplify complex concepts and present them in a structured, engaging, and learner-friendly format.

4. Strong understanding of business, digital marketing, digital transformation, technology, AI, or related domains.

5. Excellent command of written English with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.

6. Ability to manage multiple content deliverables, prioritise effectively, and work within defined timelines.

7. Experience in academic content development, instructional content, curriculum development, educational publishing, learning design, or a similar role.

8. Familiarity with developing presentations, case studies, lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and other academic resources.

9. Ability to research emerging business and digital trends and translate insights into practical and relevant learning content.

10. Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

11. Previous experience with an EdTech company, educational institution, business school, higher-education organisation, or learning platform is a bonus.
