About the Role
We are looking for a Design Manager to lead the design function across residential interior projects. The role requires a strong eye for design, excellent project ownership, and the ability to take projects from concept to execution while maintaining design quality, timelines, and budgets. You will work closely with clients, vendors, contractors and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered with a strong design vision and high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end interior design process from concept development to final execution.
Develop design concepts, mood boards, layouts, material palettes, furniture, lighting, and styling.
Translate client requirements and brief into practical, visually strong design solutions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
Lead and mentor a team of interior designers and junior designers.
Review drawings, 3D visualizations, material selections, BOQs, and detailed design packages.
Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams.
Conduct design reviews and site visits to ensure execution is aligned with the approved design.
Manage client presentations, feedback, approvals, and expectations throughout the project.
Source and evaluate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.
Identify design and execution issues early and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
Maintain consistency in design standards, documentation, detailing, and quality across projects.
Stay updated on emerging interior design trends, materials, technologies, and industry practices.
Qualifications
You have a strong design point of view but know how to adapt it to the client and project.
You can move comfortably between creative thinking, technical detailing, and project execution.
You take ownership and are comfortable driving projects independently.
You build strong relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
You are hands-on and understand that great interiors depend as much on execution as they do on the concept.
You have a strong eye for proportion, materials, detailing, colour, and overall spatial experience.
You are able to lead a team while maintaining a high standard of design quality.
